How to Build a Basic Service Request Management Dashboard in PowerBI
In this article you will learn how to make a dashboard that visualizes service request task management to make data accessible to a client. You’ll also learn how to use a helpful and very simple new feature of Power BI.

Or you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Go ahead and select the card widget from the visualizations menu
Step 2: For this card, search and select ‘Service Request Tasks Total’
Step 3: Put another card at the top to follow our best practices for dashboard creation, the aggregate data visualizations go at the top and search and select ‘Service Request Tasks with No Assignee’
Step 4: Next, we’ll input data in a KPI widget. Select ‘KPI’ from the visualizations table
Step 5: Add a value and goal from ‘Median hours to fulfillment’
Step 6: For the trend axis, use ‘months’
Step 7: Select one last card from the visualizations menu
Step 8: Search for and select ‘Percentage of Service Request Tasks Meeting SLA’s’
Step 9: In the middle, as usual, you’ll put the time series analysis. Select ‘Clustered and Column’ and use the ‘service request tasks total’ measure
Step 10: Look at those requests month-to-month by selecting ‘Months’ under ‘Closed date’
Step 11: You can also select the needed data before you select the type of visualization if needed.
Step 12: Next, we’ll use ‘service request tasks total’ again
Step 13: After that’s selected, go ahead and select ‘Priority’
Step 14: With that done, you’ll notice that it selected a suggested widget for you.
Step 15: Select the ‘Tree Map’ widget in order to change the data to a new visualization
Step 16: Lastly, for the granular level, place a table at the bottom of the dashboard
Step 17: Now, add a few columns to it. Select ‘Number’ and ‘Date’
Step 18: Select ‘Priority’
Step 19: And now you’re all done
