Event and Availability Analytics


In order to visualize how you are managing your company’s event’s and incidents, we will build a dashboard that has aggregate data widgets at the top, time series analysis in the middle, and granular showing at the bottom.

KPI

Step 1: To follow our best practices for dashboard creation, we will have our aggregate at the top. Select the ‘KPI’ widget from the visualizations menu

Step 2: Choose your value and goal from average event duration

Step 3: For your trend, select ‘Month’

Card

Step 4: Next, select the ‘Card’ widget

Step 5: Search and select ‘Events Critical’

Multi-Row Card

Step 6: Select the Muti-Row card visualization and add ‘Events Total’

Step 7: Add ‘Events Closed’

Step 8: Search for and select ‘Percentage of Events Open’

Step 9: This is what it looks like so far, now we’ll add our last measure to the widget

Step 10: Add ‘Percentage of Events with Service Assignments’

KPI

Step 11: Next, select a KPI visualization widget

Step 12: And, for the trend, use ‘Month of Quarter’

Step 13: In the middle, we want our time series analysis, so select the ‘Clustered column chart’

Step 14: Select ‘Events Total’

Step 15: Use the meta data search bar to search for ‘Month’

Step 16: Select ‘Month’

Step 17: Lastly, for our granular data level, we’ use a ‘Table’ widget

Step 18: Add all of the items in the ‘Classification’ folder
